Same Platform. You Choose Where It Runs.

Every feature, every integration, every data view — identical in both deployments. The only difference is who manages the infrastructure. Private Hosted ships first, in Q1 2027; Cloud follows.

Both Options Manage Devices Everywhere

Cloud or self-hosted — your devices can be anywhere: Azure, on-premises, remote/WFH, or air-gapped. The deployment model is about where Patchblox runs, not where your endpoints are.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Cloud manage on-premises devices?

Yes. Both deployment models manage devices anywhere — on-premises, Azure, AWS, remote/WFH, or any network. The Patchblox agent connects outbound via SignalR, so no inbound firewall rules or VPN required.

What does Self-Hosted require?

A Linux host (bare metal, VM, or container) running PostgreSQL. We provide the installation package and documentation. Minimum hardware depends on device count — typically a 4-core/16GB VM handles up to 5,000 devices.

When can I actually buy Patchblox?

Private Hosted (on-premises and BYOC) is our first generally available release, arriving Q1 2027. Patchblox Cloud follows afterward — we’ll announce a date once the on-premises release is in customers’ hands. Both are priced and reservable today.

Can I switch between Cloud and Self-Hosted?

Yes. Your configuration, policies, baselines, and report definitions are portable. Our team handles the migration with minimal disruption.

Are features gated by tier?

No. Every feature — policy governance, baselines, CVE correlation, BI reporting, automation, Resource Explorer — is included in both deployments at every device count. We don't do feature tiers.

What integrations are included?

Microsoft Intune (full governance), Azure Update Manager, and Configuration Manager are included in both deployments. The standalone management plane requires no Microsoft dependency at all.
